Follow Friday (26)

Follow Friday is hosted by Alison Can Read and this week's featured blogger is Omnon Books!

Q: Define what characteristics your favorite books share. Do they all have a kickass heroine or is the hot love interest the Alpha Male?

A: I enjoy books that keep me on the edge of my seat! It doesn't necessarily have to have a lot of action but as long as the story grabs me and keeps my attention then I usually love it.  I also like mystery books when then ending comes from left field and I never saw it coming.  I don't like when I can guess what's going to happen.  I also enjoy well-rounded characters such as Karu from Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Clara from Unearthly and Jessica Darling.  Writing style affects my feelings towards books as well.  I love a beautifully written book.

Thank you guys for following my blog and please subscribe to my RSS feed if you can! Happy reading!

I mentioned the edge-of-my-seat thing in my post, but I agree, I also love a twist or solution to a mystery that I didn't see coming. Love to be surprised....

great answer! For me I have to care about the characters first so I'll want to know what happens next!

Edge of your seat and mysteries that keep you guessing..Love both. I also dislike when I can figure it out and there is still half the book to go.

YES!! I agree with both. I love not being able to guess what's going to happen next. And I do love me some Megan McCafferty!!

Thanks for dropping by!

I also hate when I can figure out what's going to happen in a story.

Edge of the seat reading is great! I don't like it when I don't know what's going to happen but then again, I don't like predictability either - so that's a bit of a quandary!

I always like those breathtaking left field endings! I have heard really good things about Daughter of Smoke and Bone, and I even have a copy sitting on my shelf wanting to be read. Time to jump on that! Thanks for sharing and for stopping by my blog. Following back

Thanks so much for visiting my blog! #NowFollowingBack

I loved Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I can't wait for the sequel. I agree that when I've solved a mystery novel in my head and the story drags on, that can be a deal breaker on the review.

Happy Reading!

It's so nice when I read a book where I think I know what's going to happen but the author completely suprises me. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm following back.
