Feature and Follow Friday

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This week's features are Bibliotaph's Reviews and Rainy Dayz Reviewz!

This week's question is: Are there any book to movie adaptations where you think the movie is better than the book?

Answer: This is a really hard question but I think I'm going to have to go with two answers. 1. Beautiful Creatures.  I read the book not too long before the movie was released and I thought the book was awful! But the movie was pretty enjoyable.  2. City of Bones.  I listened to City of Bones on audio book and it was dreadful.  The reader made Clarey seem even more whiny than she already was and the book on the whole just completely annoyed me.  But the movie was quite enjoyable.  It was very entertaining.  Random note: Twilight: Breaking Dawn, the fake end of the movie was how I wished the book actually ended, with a big fight scene and a bunch of people dying.

Thanks for visiting, commenting on this post and following my blog! Leave me a link and I will definitely follow you back :) Happy reading!

I thought both movies were good as well! I liked the Beautiful Creatures novels more than the movie, though. As for City of Bones, well... I kind of am not a huge fan of either. I mean, the characters still irritate the hell out of me, but both storylines were very unique.

I listened to the Beautiful Creatures audiobook but it was a long time before I saw the movie so it was hard to remember whether the movie was following the book. I saw the movie in the last couple of months and liked it a lot.

I liked the Beautiful Creatures book, but I haven't got around to watching the movie yet. I haven't read nor watched City of Bones, but I have a friend who thought the movie was horrible. So I admit it makes me curious..lol. New follower via twitter.

I liked the movie Beautiful Creatures and I don't know if I have read it or not. :/ I have read the City of Bones book but I haven't seen the movie yet. I do think that Clarey is just kinda whiny overall though and I really dislike her. >.<

I haven't read Beautiful Creatures or City of Bones yet or seen the movies, but I've heard other bloggers say they liked the movies better, too. I agree about Breaking Dawn completely. The book was so awful - I had such a hard time getting through it. The movies weren't too bad, and I wished the book had ended like the movie, too.
