Follow Friday (25)

Follow Friday is hosted by Alison Can Read and this week's featured blogger is Fiction Fervor!

Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

A: I generally enjoy most genres within YA and Adult fiction.  I read almost everything from contemporary, dystopia, paranormal, sci-fi, historical fiction, horror and chick-lit.  But I have never read any non-fiction books.  They're just not my style.  When I was in college, I had to read a couple of self-help type books and I also try to stay away from those as well.  They're boring and I have a hard time relating to them.

Thanks to all those who are following by blog; old and new!  Please subscribe to my RSS feed if you can!

I'm one of those freaks that likes self-help...at least SOME self-help. Typically those that I can relate to easily.

Thanks for stopping by LIO!

Old follower returning the visit and subscribing in RSS! It occurs to me that I need to try chick-lit again. I got tired of it in college, but I'm betting that some great stuff has come out in the last four years.

I can't get into non-fiction either. I feel too much like I'm reading a text book I guess

non-fiction is sometimes not exciting - harder to find a Winner, for sure! You should probably give me a horror suggestion since ya never know, might become my fav! (? it could happen!)

I'm the same way! Unless it's something I'm interested in, probably won't pick up a non-fiction book. =)

Thanks for following, I'm an old follower.

I agree with non-fiction!

Self-Help books were my answer too! I read so many non-fiction books when I was in university that I completely burnt myself out on them.

Happy Friday! :)

I used to hate non-fiction then I stumbled on some books that I really loved. I love books written in diary style - fiction or non--fiction. I also love reading about psychology, as long as it's written interestingly - such as Blink by Malcolm Gladwell's books. I find them fascinating. So for me, it all depends on the nonfiction :D

Thanks for dropping by my blog, your blog is really cute! I'm a new follower via RSS in my reader :)

New follower. Non-fiction was my choice too. So boring reading about another person's life.

Hehehe, I love your blog design, it's so cute! I don't like non-fiction as a rule, but I have the Steve Jobs bio on my shelf and plan to read it because I'm an iThings junkie.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
