Follow Friday is a really fun way to network your blog and meet some other really cool bloggers in the process! This weekly event is hosted at Parajunkee's View.
Q: Let's step away from besties...What is the worst book that you've ever read and actually finished?
A: I feel like this question is so mean but there are a horde of terrible book out there. I would have to say that one of the worst books that I've read and finished all the way through was Revealers by Amanda Marrone. I read it when I first started my blog and I felt like it wasn't supposed to give bad reviews so I gave it an okay review. But I think if I would have read it now then I would give it a terrible review.
More recently, the worst audio book that I have listened to and completed was City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. I just couldn't connect with the characters and most of the time I just wanted to slap Clary.

That's so funny, because I had a similar experience: the very first book I ever reviewed for my blog was Fallen by Lauren Kate and I gave it an "OK review." But now that I am reading all kinds of books and have more to compare the series to, I tend to rant about these books more-- oops! Maybe it's not very nice, but it can be fun to vent :) Also, I try to be fair and say SOMETHING that I liked about a book, even if it wasn't a favorite!
You can see my FF post for this week at the link below-- hope you have a GREAT weekend!!

I don't like giving less than glowing reviews, either, but sometimes I just don't like a book. And interesting about City of Bones. I thought it was ok, but she was a little over the top with detail for me. Oh well... different things for different people. :)
Happy Friday!
Old follower stopping by! I haven't read either of those books yet, but I'm sorry you didn't enjoy them! Happy Friday and check out my Follow Friday post on my blog!

New follower from the Crazy for Books blog hop!
Even though I did enjoy City of Bones, I also don't think it's as good as it's hyped up to be. So I'm not surprised you felt that way about it.
I have trouble giving bad reviews on my blog. I try to find at least one thing redeeming about the book.

Hi! I'm a new follower. I feel bad dogging a book unless it is utterly repulsive, because I still respect the writer, the writing, etc.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Another old follower passing by.
I haven't started any of Cassandra Clare's books yet!
Have a great weekend.
Stopping by from Follow Friday. New follower.
Sometimes, when there's a lot of hype about a book it turns out to be disappointing!
Have a nice weekend.

I haven't heard of the Marrone book but I read something else she wrote and didn't like it at all (if I'm thinking of the correct author- it was called The Uninvited). I'll be sure to stay away from that book. Here's my hop:

happy reading!
Hopping through. People seem to either love or hate Cassandra Clare. I love her books but I also understand the hate.
My Hop
I actually enjoyed the question this week. Sometimes we don't appreciate the good because we forget about the bad.
