Q: Have you ever wanted a villain to win at the end of a story? If so, which one?
A: I usually only start to side with the villain when the main characters start to annoy me or get really whinny. By that point I pretty much want the villain to win so that the story will be over. Take for instance the House of Night series. It's not that I intentionally want the villain to win, but I'm just so sick of the series that I would pretty much wish for anything to happen just so that series would end. I don't even read the series anymore but every time I see that there's going to be another book, I'm reminded of Zooey, the main character, and I literally get frustrated with myself because I spent so much time reading the first six books! It's something about the House of Night that just gets me so riled up! Ok, my ranting is done.

I'm right there with you on the annoying main characters...Sometimes they just don't deserve their happy ending!

I definitely agree with you. Sometimes I get so annoyed by the main character that I just want the villain to win and end the whole thing so I don't have to read anymore. I really feel that way about the Fallen series...

Hi, old follower here for the hop. I feel the same way! I haven't read the last two books either.
I haven't read the House of Night series. Maybe I'll skip it. ;)
Ha! Perfect answer!! I only root for the other guy when the good guys irritate me too!!
Agreed. When the main character irritates me, then I root for the other one.
New Follower. Returning the favor.
As much as I hate to admit the HoN series is starting to get on my nerve I've read all the way up to book 7, and I'll probably continue to read just cause I've invested my time in the series, but I don't know.
